SS Superintendent - Mike Lynch PDF Print E-mail

I am Mike Lynch, and I have been serving God as the Sunday School/Bible Study Superintendent here at Trinity for more years than I care to acknowledge.  I am glad that God has used me and hope that you come and find a place where God can use you as well.  Maybe that will be as a part of one of our Sunday School or Bible Study classes.

Salvation

I had a life-changing experience when I was 17 years old.  God had a plan for my life that was completely different from the plan that I had.  I know that if I were to die today, I would spend eternity with God.  Do you know that, for sure?  If not, I'd like to talk to you about the most important decision you will ever make in your lifetime.  Check our contacts page and feel free to call me.

Hobbies

I like yard work, playing with the grandchildren, listening to music, playing the drums, and enjoying life.

Home

I am married to my wonderful wife, Kathy, and have three grown sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.

Sunday School/Bible Study

A lot of people think it is only important to attend the "preaching" portion of Sunday Services.  I've always wondered why.  Is it because they will be able to stay in bed an extra hour, have that second cup of coffee, laziness, or just a lack of desire to get into God's Word?

Yes, the preaching is important.  You hear the Word of God preached, but you cannot stop the preacher every time you have a question or do not quite understand something.  You cannot even ask the person sitting next to you because you may not know them.

That's where Sunday School & Bible Study comes to the rescue.  Sunday School and Bible Study is an important part of the Christian walk.  It is a smaller group setting that will help you make new friends and give opportunities to pray for each others needs.  It is a place where you would feel more comfortable asking questions and sharing your needs among friends.  It is a place to connect with other people your own age, with some of the same problems, circumstances, desires, dreams, and dissapointments that you have.  It's a place to "build relationships through small groups."  What better place is there to learn how to seek God's will for your life than with others who are trying to do the same thing.

If you are a long-time church member who hasn't attended Sunday School or a Bible Study class, or just someone visiting, I would like to challenge you to be a part of one of the classes at Trinity that meets at 9:30am every Sunday morning.  Be prepared for spiritual growth and a closer walk with God!
